TOPIC: The Root Of All Evil (Seeds Of Destiny 4 October 2022)
SCRIPTURE: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The love of money makes people indulge in all kinds of evil practices.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2022 MESSAGE:
In our world today, many people do all sort of evil things to get money by all means. The love of money makes people indulge in all kinds of evil practices. The sale of alcohol is one unrighteous way people make money.
It is important to know that one of the major destroyers of the liver is alcohol. Alcoholic liver cirrhosis leads to Primary Liver Cell Cancer. When alcohol is taken in low doses, it excites the central nervous system; and high dose of it depresses the central nervous system. Alcohol destroys one’s body system on earth and ultimately leads one to eternity in hellfire.
A major cause of Bronchogenic Carcinoma or the cancer of the lungs is tobacco smoking. When a person is making money out of destroying people’s lives, that money is evil money.
When a person sells cocaine, heroin or other kinds of harmful substances and gets money as proceeds of trade in these iniquitous products, the money is evil money.
So, the one who sells it to people destroys their lives here on earth and assists them into eternal damnation in hellfire. Nothing can be more evil than that.
Another example of evil money is the proceeds from running a night club. One may ask: why is money gotten from a night club evil?
Habakkuk 2:15 answers the question;
Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!
The curse of the Lord is on those who acquire evil money. Be warned!
Remember this: The love of money makes people indulge in all kinds of evil practices.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Refuse to engage in evil practices in order to make money.
- Love the Lord above everything and everyone.
PRAYER: Deliver me Lord from the love of money. Help me to love You above all things, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
