Mide Martins, the daughter of the popular movie actress Funmi Martins, was born on April 12, 1979.

Mide Martins attended Community Grammar School, Ibadan for her elementary education. She furthered in Providence Heights Secondary School, Fagba, Lagos.

She later obtained a diploma in International Relations from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.

Funmi Martin was a prominent actress prior to her death on 6th of May, 2002 who died of Cardiac Arrest.

Shortly after her mother’s death, Mide Martins appeared in the entertainment industry. Initially, Mide had no interest in acting as a profession, but this she did to retain her mother’s memory.

Within a couple of years in the entertainment sphere as an actress, Mide fell in love with the art, only to confess she would have missed so great a mark of excellence if she had pursued something else.

Controversies

At a point, it went viral that Mide Martins was constantly battered by her husband. In an interview with the Vanguard on October 17, 2015, she explained that since she had been married, her husband had never raised his hands on her.

But in April 2016, the couple had a misunderstanding and separated for almost three months. Mide in an interview mentioned that it was the first time her husband would leave home and she would pray earnestly for his return. The issue has now been resolved and the couple are living happily again.
